Summa Nix

Summa Nix is an original track that was inspired by Phendrana Drifts from Metroid Prime. I opted for a modernized compositional style but still tried to capture the ambient sound design of the Metroid Prime series. The echoing piano with the mallets helps create the frozen environment imagery while the taiko drums drive the track forward, knowing that danger could be lurking behind any corner. I took my own creative liberties and added a melody, not always characteristic of Metroid Prime soundtracks, but that would accompany the visual of frozen alien fighting seamlessly. This was a really fun challenge to make. I hope you enjoy!
